Wallet setup

Whether you are an experienced or beginner user, here you'll find the wallet for you

This is a brief explanation of the different types of wallets. If you prefer, you can jump to the step-by-step wallet setup guide for beginners or the wallet setup for advanced users.

In this step, we are going to show you several wallets to interact with the RIF on Chain protocol. There are 3 categories:

  • Mobile: these wallets can be helpful for those who like to make transactions on the go, as the interaction with the protocol is simplified by the UX of the app.

  • Web3: desktop users that want to take advantage of interacting directly with the platform or TEX.

  • Hardware wallets: for those who have a hardware wallet like Ledger or Trezor.

Mobile Wallets

People are more familiar with mobile apps as they are very easy to install and set up.

Just get the chosen one from the store of your smartphone, install it and set it up paying special attention to the seed phrase which you should handwrite on paper and store it in a safe place.

Web3 Wallets

Some compatible wallets are Liquality and Metamask. They work as an extension in Google Chrome. Remember that you should save both your password and the 12 recovery words and never share them with anyone.

Hardware wallets

Since the integration of rLogin from RSK you can connect directly to the protocol with hardware wallets like Ledger or Trezor.

Next, you are going to learn how to set up a wallet depending on if you are a beginner, advanced, or hardware wallet user.
