This is a brief explanation of the different types of wallets. If you prefer, you can jump to the step-by-step or the .

In this step, we are going to show you several wallets to interact with the RIF on Chain protocol. There are 3 categories:

  • Mobile: these wallets can be helpful for those who like to make transactions on the go, as the interaction with the protocol is simplified by the UX of the app.

  • Web3: desktop users that want to take advantage of interacting directly with the platform or TEX.

  • Hardware wallets: these are for those who have a hardware wallet like Ledger or Trezor.

Mobile Wallets

People are more familiar with mobile apps as they are very easy to install and set up.

Just get the chosen one from the store of your smartphone, install it and set it up paying special attention to the seed phrase which you should handwrite on paper and store it in a safe place.

Web3 Wallets

Hardware wallets

Next, you are going to learn how to set up a wallet depending on if you are a beginner, advanced, or hardware wallet user.

Some compatible wallets are , , , , and . They work as an extension in Google Chrome. Remember that you should save both your password and the 12 recovery words and never share them with anyone.
